Office Automation
The main purpose of a Multifunctional Device (MFD) is to have one system/machine that can do more than one task. MFD’s have the following functionalities namely: Printing, Scanning, Copying, Mailing, Faxing and Binding of documents in various formats.
Local/Network Printers
A Local/Network printer can be defined as a generic printer mostly used by small to medium organizations for printing by ether a single user or various users as a networked printer. These printers are relatively cheap compared to MFD’s, although maintenance and toner can be more expensive if these printers print excessively.
PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange)
PABX systems are generally used by medium to large organizations with the need to have a professional and automated telephonic system.
These systems allow an organization’s customer to contact any member of the organization directly, also allowing employees within the organization to have automated voice mailbox system that would ensure that any caller have the ability to leave a message to any individual that the caller whishes to have communicated with.
The system also allows for any call to be transferred internally and also allowing employees to contact each other with no cost.
VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)
VOIP can be defined as a cost effective solution that can be implemented and maintained by the internal or outsourced IT department of any organization.
These solutions are configurable to allow voice and data transfers to be done across any Wide or Local area network that is connected for the sole purpose of intercompany communication. This system can also be integrated with a PABX system for the purpose of cost allocation.
